
The Orkney Roastery - "Bringing together coffees from Ethiopia and Sumatra this carefully crafted blend packs a punch. The blend comprises 100% Arabica beans roasted through second crack to a dark finish. This gives the coffee huge presence balancing the low acidity of the Sumatra with hints of the herbal body of the Ethiopians. The overall taste experience is like diving into a box of chocolates – comforting, complex and self-indulgent. As one of our darker roast coffees we concentrate on the final stages of the longer than normal roast to catch the beans just before the caramel flavours shift to burnt caramel."
