West Cork Coffee - "Origin: COLOMBIA Farm: Los Chorros Region: Bruselas, Pitalito Variety: Chiroso AAA Altitude: 1794 masl Process: WASHED “ Peach, Honey & Tropical ” We have being anticipating the arrival of this special coffee since last November when Efren Albeiro Erazo and Carmen Elisa Sanjuan invited us to their incredible farm, Finca Los Chorros. The location of this farm in Bruselas, Colombia is really remote ( no access by cars ) & 1760 masl. A steep 45min hike with breathtaking views resulted in a rewarding & welcoming visit with this family. Carmen’s knowledge of both coffee production & roasting was very impressive. We had the opportunity to taste numerous coffee’s but this Chiroso AAA variety blew my mind! Amazing clarity & complexity ( AAA = High Quality ). We actually purchased all of this coffee ( only 60KG ) so grab a bag while you can! Both third-generation producers, Efren began working in coffee at a young age and, by 28, transformed pastureland into a thriving farm. Carmen later became a key part of the project, bringing her background in nursing and a strong focus on fermentation, helping refine their processes with care and precision. Today, their work reflects a deep commitment to quality and sustainability, from clean agricultural practices to carefully managed fermentations and drying. Guided by teamwork and respect for the land, they continue to produce coffees that express both their dedication and their environment."
