Deep red volcano soils, annual rainfall of 1200-1400mm and moderate temperatures of 18-25°c create ideal conditions for high quality coffee production. The combination of high altitude, fertile soils and favourable climate allows cherries to mature slowly, contributing to bright acidity, sweetness and complexity that characterise coffees from Murang'a County."
