Shiloh Coffee Roasters - "Tastes like: Chocolate, blackcurrant and lemon, sweet with medium acidity Location: Nandi County, Kenya Varietals: Batian, Ruiru 11, K7, SL28 Process: Washed Context This coffee has been produced by Lot 20's Kolik Coffee Co-operative Society in Nandi County. Lot 20 founder Sidney Kibet registered his Nandi hills site as a co-operative in response to new legislation in Kenya that prevents the sale of coffee cherry by individuals. The move enabled Lot 20 to continue working with local farmers in the area. Following the legal changes, smallholders register with a pulping station, enabling them to move their own coffee cherry from their farms to their registered pulping station without a movement permit."
